We make painting and renovating your home easier, faster, and cheaper
Repaints, renovations, gutter cleans, roof and fascia repairs. Whatever the job at height, Metroscaff gives trades and homeowners safe, stable access across Rodney, the North Shore, West Auckland, Auckland Central and South Auckland, so the work gets done faster, better, safer, without the risk and discomfort of working off a ladder.
“I engaged Metroscaff to assist with our re-cladding project. They were fast and efficient, super professional easy to deal with. I would highly recommend them for any project small or large.”

Why use scaffolding for your project?
-
Full, safe access from day one means you and your trades work faster, saving you not just time but money. No more climbing down every few metres to shift a ladder. A continuous platform along the full wall, with tools and materials beside you, and more than one person working at height at once
-
Labour is the biggest cost on most painting, renovation, and repair jobs. Fewer hours lost to repositioning often offsets a good chunk of the hire, and sometimes all of it.
-
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act there's no "safe height" for falls. As a homeowner, you have a responsibility to keep anyone working on your property or site safe, including yourself! Scaffolding allows you to meet Worksafe and ACC requirements.
-
Shifting a ladder around your site is frustrating, and trying to reach high places is difficult. Using scaffolding means you’re not having to regularly adjust, making your project easy.
-
Both hands on the job and a stable footing mean cleaner paintwork, tidier gutter and fascia fixes, and no missed spots behind the ladder. Less fatigue across a long summer day too.

Frequently asked questions
-
Often, yes. Labour is usually the biggest cost on a painting, renovation or repair job, and scaffolding cuts the hours lost to climbing down and moving ladders. On many houses the time saved offsets a good chunk of the hire cost, and sometimes all of it, with a better finish to show for it.
-
Not always. For quick jobs like a gutter clean, a fascia fix or a touch-up, a mobile tower is often the right fit, and you can book one online. For longer or higher work, or anywhere a tower can’t safely stand, scaffolding is the better option. Tell us about the job and we’ll recommend the right access.
-
We generally recommend 2 or more weeks ahead for residential jobs, though we can often fit in shorter notice. Summer is our busiest period too, so if you have a run of jobs lined up, talk to us early and we can plan your scaffolding around your schedule.
-
Yes. Whether you need a lift raised, boards moved to reach the fascias or a section altered for a window or gutter, just give us a call. Any alteration is done by our crew and the scaffold is re-inspected and tagged before your team gets back on.
-
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, you have a duty to manage the risk of falls at any height, and WorkSafe expects fall risks to be eliminated or minimised with the most effective controls available. Ladders are generally meant for short, light work, not painting a whole house or a full day on the roofline. Where someone could fall 5 metres or more, scaffolding must be erected by a certified scaffolder.
-
It depends on the size and height of the house, how much of it needs access, the hire duration and any extras like netting or shrink wrap. Use our Quote Estimator for a quick, tailored estimate you can drop into your quote, or call us for a free site assessment.
-
If the scaffold sits entirely on the property, no consent is needed. If it has to extend over a footpath or road reserve, a temporary traffic management permit is required. We can advise on and manage that process for you.
